Million Peacemakers

Million Peacemakers is a nonprofit built on one idea refined over twenty-five years: peacemaking is a skill, and any young person can learn it. Its method, Nonflict, is a structured way to move through conflict rather than escalate it, already taught to more than two and a half million people. In October 2025, at the Red Cross and Red Crescent headquarters in Geneva, five of the world’s largest youth movements signed one roadmap around it, World YMCA, the IFRC, JA Worldwide, the Family Enterprise Foundation, and Million Peacemakers itself. Rivals chose to stand together, and the destination they named is a generation raised on peace by 2035.

What makes it work is the fit between the method and the reach. The coalition’s networks already touch hundreds of millions of young people a year across more than a hundred countries, on the platforms and in the programs those young people already trust. Million Peacemakers builds the method into that shared infrastructure once, so it travels everywhere the coalition already goes: a conflict-resolution companion in a young person’s pocket, learning that carries accreditation, facilitators who bring it home to their own communities.
