AI safety
LovingIsAI
The human connection layer for AI, keeping people whole as the machines get smarter.
LovingIsAI started with a founder’s simple conviction: teach AI what love is. Jen Loving’s real aim was bigger than a chatbot. It was to help people stay deeply human while they partner with ever more powerful AI. Most tools race to help us do more, faster. LovingIsAI builds the layer almost no one else does, the one that keeps us present, connected, and cared for. Its companion, Nova, holds a person in steadiness rather than reflecting their distress back at them, and when someone signals crisis she stays with them and points them to real help instead of leaving them alone with a phone number.
Underneath Nova sits the Loving Protocol, a safety floor built into the architecture so it cannot be configured or trained away. On top of it sits the Yellow Butterfly, an independent mark that proves an AI deployment was built to keep people connected and reviewed against a recognized standard. The independence is the point: the certifier is kept separate from the builder so the mark means something. Light Brands builds and implements the work; LovingIsAI owns the protocol and the standard. Together they are trying to make human safety a design requirement of AI, the way seatbelts became standard in cars.
Why we back it
As AI gets more capable, the layer that keeps people human stops being optional, and someone has to make it the standard.
